Athabasca Hall

Athabasca Hall

In 1911, Athabasca Hall became the first building to officially open its doors on River Lot Number Five. As Reg Lister recalled, “Athabasca Hall was the first building on the campus. Plumbers, steamfitters, carpenters and bricklayers worked all the summer of 1911 getting ready for the students who arrived in the fall.”

It was headquarters for all the University faculties, as well as a student residence.
