Researchers earn ASTech Awards
Talib Rajwani's research career is already going gangbusters. His latest accolade is a special Alberta Science and Technology (ASTech) Leadership Award. Rajwani decided to pursue graduate work in radiology after working as a summer student in the scoliosis lab. His thesis focuses on the possible connection between a growth plate in the spine called the neurocentral junction and the development of scoliosis in adolescents.

The Leaders of Tomorrow Award is presented to an individual who shows leadership potential in the areas of science and technology teaching, research, entrepreneurship or technology-based business and who demonstrates the qualities that are expected to make him/her a future leader in the science and technology community in Alberta.
